I'm Here to Listen
Thank you for being here. Making the commitment to attend therapy is a difficult and vulnerable step. Let’s work together to identify what is causing depression, anxiety, stress or other challenges in your life. All of us have developed unhealthy coping skills and thought patterns based on our past experiences. I can help you identify the patterns that are keeping you stuck and help you move forward. I am here to listen, understand and empathize with your experiences. I have genuine care and respect for each of my clients and it is important to me that you feel heard.
My approach to therapy is rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and motivational interviewing. I am also trained in lifespan integration, which is a gentle trauma therapy.
My name is Danielle. I am originally from Washington state. I moved to Utah in 2012 to pursue an undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Utah. The mountains and sunshine convinced me to stay.
I started my career working with teenagers in residential treatment and absolutely loved it. I then decided to pursue a master's degree in social work from the University of Utah. I spent the first five years of my career counseling teenagers, young adults, and their families. I then started my own practice to expand the number of people I could work with. Having the opportunity to walk with people through their most difficult times is a gift that I cherish.
In my free time I enjoy reading, hiking, bowling, watching true crime documentaries, traveling, trying new restaurants and spending time with my husband and two daughters.
